If you have any trouble navigating just shoot me a message on my contact page. This is still a bit of a work in progress.
I started this website for the elaborate photo essays with descriptive text, but along the way I started to find more and more interesting objects, events, photos, and phenomena that I would like to share with you. On here you will find medical interventions, poisoners handbooks, secret codes, descriptions of war, stories of death, and other curiosities. Just hover over the image for a description of the link.
What I would like you to keep in mind as you browse through these posts is that too often do we find ourselves captivated by the winners account of war or the story of the serial killer over the stories of his victims. I aim to change that by including as much eyewitness testimony from as many sides as I possibly can, and to emulate the documentary style wherever possible. I hope that these combinations of words and pictures move you. I hope that you come to see every conflict from both sides. More than anything, I hope that when you look at the albums I’ve helped to create that the victims and their history comes alive. The people in holocuast photos aren’t just nameless, faceless crowds. The victims of serial killers aren’t just victims. These were all living breathing people like you and I. They had families who cared about them. They had favorite foods and a sense of humor. They had a narrative every bit as important and as relevant as our own. Please give weight to the importance and the sanctity of their memory.
